John Hogarth - Owner

John Hogarth, owner of Summit Airport Services and North Coast Air Care began his aviation career in 1975 when he joined the US Air Force and was made a crew chief on the F4D fighter jets. After completion of his service he started working line service at Air Camis at the Akron Canton Airport. Pumping gas during the day, he would work at night with the sheet metal repairman and other evening mechanics in order to gain experience working on General Aviation Aircraft. After being promoted to mechanic at Air Camis, and ten years service, John went over to the new FBO across the field as Service Manager. In 1989 he started his own company, North Coast Air Care, LLC and specialized in Cheyenne's, King Airs and Citations.

In May of 2001 John moved his operation to Akron Municipal Airport leasing a maintenance facility from the existing FBO on the field. For ten years North Coast Air Care maintained the General Aviation fleet, building up not only new clients but also relationships, which he felt was important. Now as the owner of Summit Airport Services, who operates the FBO, he has updated the facility as well as the service. Using his experience as a lineman from years ago he realized the importance of total customer care when an aircraft arrives for either fuel, maintenance or just a quick turn. With the help of Operations Manager, Tony Plucinski, running the day to day operations of the FBO, John operates his company to a much higher standard of customer service than seen at other FBO's. Summit Airport Services and North Coast Air Care has established themselves as the premier Fixed Base Operation in the area offering hangar space, aircraft maintenance and fueling in this part of the state.
