John began his career cleaning the underbelly of aircraft at the young age of five. Growing up around aviation, John had a natural talent for aircraft maintenance. He began working for North Coast Air Care in 2007 pulling off cowlings and helping out any way he could with the mechanics. His specialty at that time was cleaning the interiors and exteriors, which later grew to be a full detail of the aircraft.

As John stayed with the company he grew more and more skilled in the maintenance side of things. Working under the mechanics, John was able to gain the knowledge needed to work towards his A&P license which he obtained in the summer of 2013.

When North Coast Air Care purchased Summit Air in 2011, John's responsibilities shifted towards line service. Being able to provide fuel service to transient and based tenants in a timely, efficient manner helped add to the high level of customer service Summit Air is known for.

In September of 2012 Summit Air was granted the responsibility of maintaining the entire Akron-Fulton Airport. John's role in the company changed yet again. With the equipment and airport needing a full time employee, John was placed in airport  maintenance. Now wearing many hats, John has made himself an invaluable employee.

Along with working full time at the airport, John is a full time student at Kent State University studying Business Management. When he finishes his degree and starts to move into the business side of the company he will be the only employee, other than the owner, who will know and perform all aspects of our business.
